A German Aids awareness TV advert which features a Hitler lookalike having sex has been condemnd by charities. It shows a couple making love; at the end, the man is revealed as Hitler and a tag-line declares: "Aids is a mass murderer". Posters featuring Hitler (above), Stalin (below)

in clinches have also been published. HIV charities have complained that the commercials stigmatise people with the condition, but the director of the Hamburg agency which made them is unrepentant: "We asked ourselves what face we could give to the virus," he said, "and it couldn't be a pretty face."
