The Silver Sturgeon is a beautiful boat, and we will be serving refreshments, but this will primarily be a solemn event focusing on the victims of that tragic day.
The European Azerbaijan Society and Justice for Khojaly Campaign invites you to mark the events of 26 February 1992 when 613 Azerbaijani civilians were killed by Armenian military forces.
In memory of the victims 613 balloons will be released and 613 flowers scattered in the Thames.
The commemoration will take place on February 24th the river Thames, aboard the boat "Silver Sturgeon", departure will be from Savoy Pier at 1pm and returning at 2.45pm.
Savoy Pier is located on Victoria Embankment, two minutes walk from Embankment Tube station or 10 minutes walk from Westminster. Savoy Pier, Victoria Embankment, London, WC2N 6ND
